Edmar Mednis was a prolific author who wrote more than 25 books on chess - specializing in books on opening and endgame theory. He was a Chess Life columnist for many years and winner of numerous awards from the Chess Journalists of America. Mednis was inducted into the US Chess Hall of Fame in 2000. Sadly, Mednis is no longer with us but his legacy of imparting chess knowledge and wisdom to the student of the game lives on in his books and dvds.
