GM Pal Benko (USA)

Pal Benko was twice a World Championship candidate for USA - in 1959 and 1962. Benko is a world-famous authority on the endgame in chess and has established a reputation as a brilliant endgame study composer. He has been a Chess Life columnist for many years and has won many awards from the Chess Journalists of America for his published articles on the endgame.
